Label Artist Album Selection
Lebanese, Palestinian, Israeli, Syrian and Iranian artists demonstrate through music what politicians and governments are seemingly unwilling to do—simply co-exist.
Part 1
As the civilian death count climbs in Lebanon and Gaza, children pay the greatest price. In part one of a two part series, our program opens with lullabies from the Middle East. Also featured is an epic tribute to Beirut by Lebanese oudist Rabih-Abou Khalil, the qanun artistry of Abdullah Chhadeh and a rare Arabic recording by Hollywood star from the 1950's Danny Thomas (Amos Yakhoob).
